Barkham House, a 19th-century terraced property, overlooks the Imperial War Museum and its park. The house carries a rich history, and we had the pleasure to collaborate with Leo Wood, director at KinderDesign, to deliver a full refurbishment. Creating bespoke joinery pieces that seamlessly integrate into the home’s grand vision, we provided unique focal points for each space.

Guided by the refined visual sensibility of the client, each piece was crafted to maximize functionality whilst enhancing the character of the house.

Each room has a distinct style, with materials, colour palette, and designs tailored to its purpose. From a six-door wardrobe in the master bedroom, lined with Schumacher wallpaper and a vibrant pink interior, to a floating blue Valchromat desk in the office, designed to be height-adjustable. A hallway unit made from Smile Plastics’ Cosmos material - an eco-conscious surface crafted from recycled plastic bottles - provides both efficient storage and a striking entrance feature. In the downstairs library, a 3.5-meter-long aluminium shelving unit serves as both storage and a display for books and artworks.
