Working closely with our client, we designed and managed the renovation of this Victorian townhouse in East London, creating a contemporary home while retaining elements of its original character.

Existing floorboards were restored, sanded and painted white, bringing light through the rooms, while soft colour and hand-painted joinery create a calm backdrop throughout. In the bathroom, the palette shifts to concrete, microcement and burnished brass, centred around a contemporary interpretation of a freestanding Victorian bath.

The result brings a lighter, more contemporary character to the townhouse, while allowing its period details to remain part of the space.
