A new salon for Manifesto within Mare Street Market, designed in collaboration with the Manifesto team.

With a compact 4.2 x 3.4m footprint, the design needed to create a greater sense of space. Mirrors extend across the walls to create depth and reflect the low, warm lighting, creating a more intimate space within the buzz of Mare Street Market. Fumed oak panelling is paired with blackened stainless steel worktops and mirrored surfaces. The steel was pickled by hand in our East London workshop to achieve its dark, textured finish.

Designed around a compact footprint, every material and detail works to give the salon a greater sense of space.

Working within the existing structure required another layer of detail. The new panelling was designed and adapted around the existing steel framework and glazing, bringing the different elements together within a compact footprint.

The result is a small but distinctive salon, defined by rich materials, precise detailing and a strong sense of atmosphere.
