Following our work on Arôme’s first permanent bakery in Covent Garden, we worked with designer Rain Wu again to create their second space on Duke Street.

Arôme brings a contemporary approach to traditional French baking, an idea reflected in the interior through a modern interpretation of classic panelling. Solid walnut and carefully selected random match veneer run throughout the space, forming a bespoke counter, haberdashery-style display cabinet, floating shelves and wraparound banquette seating.

Extensive sampling in our workshop helped establish the right tone and variation in the timber before manufacture began, giving the finished joinery a depth and character particular to the space. The result is a warm, richly detailed interior that feels both established and distinctly Arôme.
