For the refurbishment of Aesop’s Borough Market store, around three quarters of the material was reclaimed or repurposed from one of the brand’s Paris locations.
Rather than starting again, existing pieces were carefully adapted and adjusted to work within a new space. The process embraced the marks and imperfections of their previous life, preserving original details while avoiding unnecessary waste.
The result is an interior that retains the material character of what came before while giving existing elements a new purpose.
